What is WJCT News Now and how does it work?

WJCT News Now is a member benefit providing supporters access to podcast perks, including NPR sponsor-free listening and WJCT News 89.9 bonus podcasts. Once you sign up, you’ll receive directions for setting up the NPR+ and WJCT News Now. By signing up for WJCT News Now, you’ll get access to more of your favorite NPR podcasts and support WJCT Public Media with your monthly donation.

What is a private RSS feed?

A private RSS feed is a personalized link that gives you access to members-only podcasts. You add it to your podcast app to listen. We'll walk you through the instructions after you sign-up.

Can I get a refund or cancel my membership?

You can cancel your WJCT News Now membership anytime through your account settings, and your membership will stay active until the end of your billing period. Or you can email us at donate@wjct.org to cancel or request a refund.

Do I need a special app to listen?

No! You can use popular podcast apps, like Apple Podcasts and Spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts. During sign-up, we’ll guide you on how to set it up.

What happens if I switch podcast apps?

If you decide to change where you listen to WJCT News Now you can switch podcast players by using the RSS link provided to you when you signed up.

Here's How:

  1. Copy your private RSS link (which you received when you signed up via text and email).
  2. Paste the link into your new podcast app under the option to "Add Feed" or "Add Podcast by URL.

This allows you to continue enjoying your content seamlessly in your new app. If you need help finding or copying your RSS link, the instructions will be in your account or email help@supportingcast.fm.

What does my membership support, and can I write it off?

Your membership supports WJCT Public Media’s mission to deliver local news, original programs, and exclusive content to our community. It’s also tax-deductible.

I've signed up to listen on Spotify but now I can't find the show. How do I find the new episodes?

This is a Spotify limitation—at the moment you'd need to click "Follow" on the show page to ensure it automatically shows in the library area. Spotify is aware that this isn't an ideal user experience, so we expect we'll see some enhancements over the next year. Please don't forget to hit that "follow" button. If it still doesn't appear. contact help@supportingcast.fm
